Peter Thomas Roth: Un-Wrinkle Pressed Powder Gets Smart!

PTR_Unwrinkle_pwdr

Peter Thomas Roth New Un-Wrinkle Pressed Powder…

is it makeup?  A treatment product containing anti-aging peptide technology?  A prop that plays a part in the new Get Smart movie?  All of the above!

Skincare innovator Peter Thomas Roth debuts the newest product in the Un-Wrinkle anti-aging line with a triple-milled translucent powder.  The Un-Wrinkle Pressed Powder improves the overall look of the skin by helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines, deep wrinkles and expression lines.  It’s formulated to be non-drying to the skin, and helps to absorb oil to create a soft, matte finish.  The Pressed Powder includes the six powerful anti-aging peptides found in the Un-Wrinkle product line and in addition, includes vitamins A, C and E and mica.

The exclusive Un-Wrinkle Pressed Powder compact will be used by Agent 99, played by Anne Hathaway, in a key scene in the upcoming June 20 release of the movie Get Smart.  The Un-Wrinkle Pressed Powder (retail $35) will be available in a special limited edition Get Smart Try Me kit featured on QVC this weekend.  If you haven't tried the Un-Wrinkle line from Peter Thomas Roth, this kit is a great introduction.  I've used the Un-Wrinkle Serum and the Peel Pads and can highly recommend the Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle anti-aging line.

Savvy Skin Guest Post: Dark Undereye Circles

Jeni from the Savvy Skin blog put out a call to beauty bloggers to be a "guest blogger" on her site.  I contributed with a post on undereye Dark Circles, because that is one of the most common beauty problems that women experience and one that I continually have to deal with, too.  Here's a snippet of the article:

Dark_circles

Are you plagued by dark circles?  Dark circles are one of the most common—and frustrating—beauty problems.  With diligence, patience and some effort, you can learn to manage, or in some cases, eliminate your dark circles.  First, let’s take a look at some of the causes of dark circles and what you can do to treat or minimize the problem.

Dark undereye circles can be caused by many factors, including:

  • Lack of sleep or fatigue
  • Heredity/genetics/aging
  • Hormones or allergies
  • Sun exposure
  • Smoking

The rest of the article, with my recommendations for eye creams that work (from my own personal experience) can be found here.  Are dark circles a problem you experience?  What have you found that works?

Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads

Unwrinkle_padsIf you haven't started to incorporate exfoliation into your anti-aging beauty routine, Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads are an easy, convenient and non-intimidating way to start.  The ingredients alone were enough to make me try this product:  alpha, beta, gamma hydroxy acids, amino acids, peptides, Vitamins A, C, D and E...it's all in there!  I use the Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads 2-3 times per week (although you could use daily)as part of my evening skincare routine, applying the product to a clean face and then leaving on for a few minutes before washing (neutralizing) off.  The pads feel very similar to a professional peel...you will definitely feel this tingling on your face.  And because I've used Renova off and on, I felt like I should "work up" to the frequency in using these.  If you tend to have sensitive skin, test first. There is enough solution on the pad to also swab your neck and back of hands or decollete. What kind of results can you expect to see?  Smoother, more refined skin, increased radiance, pores minimized.  This product delivers! The Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads have definitely made it onto my Holy Grail list. The Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads come 60 to a jar for $45 and are available at Skinstore, Dermadoctor, QVC and in department stores.

As a special feature, for a more in-depth analysis of this product's ingredients, follow the link to the fabulously knowledgeable FutureDerm's blog.  We are partnering together to review the Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads, hoping to give a dual perspective on this product.  Her analysis will be up later today and won't disappoint.  She will provide the reasons you should feel confident adding this product to your skincare routine.
