Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Lotus Eau Te Toilette

Elizabeth_Arden_green_tea_lotus Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Lotus Eau de Toilette strikes just the right balance between a floral, green tea and fruity fragrance.  Inspired by the Japanese lotus, this new fragrance is a wonderful choice for summer.  From first sniff, it's quickly become my daily fragrance.  What I like most about Green Tea Lotus is that it's light, but it doesn't float away when I wear it.

  • Top notes:  Ume Plum, Cherry Blossom, Yuzu and Mandarin
  • Middle notes: Aglaia, Blooming Lotus, Green Tea, Osmanthus and Jasmine Tea
  • Base notes:  Musks and white birch

When first applying, I definitely get a burst of the floral and, as it dries down, more of the citrusy and green tea notes develop.  If you like the floral/green tea/fruity combination, like I do, definitely give Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea Lotus a try.

Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Lotus Eau de Toilette retails at $37.00 and is available at department stores nationwide, including Macy's and Dillards and online at the Elizabeth Arden website.

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lash Extending Treatment Mascara

Elizabeth_ardenIs there a woman on the face of the planet that is perfectly happy with the mascara she is using?  I will admit it. I have Restless Mascara Syndrome. Just when I think I've found the perfect mascara, that nagging doubt sets in and it's on to the next one.  Until now. Not only have I been using the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lash Extending Treatment Mascara and liking it....I've been loving it!  As a treatment mascara, this formulation conditions your lashes with Ceramide Triple Complex and Vitamins A, C and E to help reinforce and restore lashes' natural protective barrier.  Read that:  doesn't dry your lashes out so they become brittle and fall out.  Nice! There is also a conditioning ingredient, Keravis, to help strengthen and fortify lashes.  My experience has been no smudging, flaking or clumping with use. And while the trend lately has been to the big, fat brushes (not a fan), this brush allows the product to lengthen and thicken lashes, giving my eyes a more wide-eyed look.  We like that. (Tip: using a lash primer gives an even more dramatic result.)  The Elizabeth Arden Ceraminde Lash Extending Treatment Mascara has earned a spot on the Holy Grail List.  At $20, it's a moderate-priced mascara that doesn't break the bank.  This mascara is available on the  Elizabeth Arden website and at department stores.  I may have found the cure for Restless Mascara Syndrome!

Elizabeth Arden Intervene Pause & Effect

ElizabethardenElizabeth Arden has added to it's anti-aging line with the introduction of the Intervene Pause & Effect products.  Biodormin technology, which is a botanical derived from narcissus bulbs, is utilized to "pre-empt" or "pause" the aging process, rather than correct it.  When I first got the sample of the Intervene Pause & Effect Moisture Cream and the Intervene Eye Pause & Effect Moisture Eye Cream from my local department store, I couldn't help but think "Elizabeth Arden?  The same EA of my mom's Red Door?"  Let's just say I was skeptical.

Both products were very moisturizing and definitely felt good on my winter-dehydrated skin.  And while I didn't think that the Intervene Moisture Cream offered any significant benefits over other moisturizers, I did really like the Intervene Eye Cream.  Because it is so hydrating, it does help to diminish the look of fine lines.  I didn't have enough product to sample to assess it's effect on dark circles.  If you haven't started to think about anti-aging products yet, this might be a line that interests you, particularly if you're in your 30's - 40's.  The disadvantage is the cost; $55 for the Intervene Pause & Effect Moisture Cream and $42 for the Pause & Effect Moisture Eye Cream.  Unless you're committed to the Elizabeth Arden line, you can get a less expensive, but equally effective moisturizer; the Eye Cream is a product I would consider purchasing.
