Laura Mercier Black Tie Holiday 2008 Color Collection

Laura Mercier has created Black Tie, the elegant meets edgy colour collection for Holiday 2008. Think Palm Beach meets South Beach. 

Black and white form the backdrop for enchanting eyes with the new Tuxedo Eye Colour Quad. I have this palette--this season I cannot resist black eyeshadow--it's like I'm possessed.The Tuxedo Eye Colour Quad is gorgeous, dramatic and sexy. Although it's hard to tell from the picture, each eyeshadow color is different.  You have two irridescent colors, white and gray/black and a matte black and white.  Richly pigmented, they're lovely to work with.

I haven't worked up the courage yet to try the Glamour Faux Eyelashes, but if Laura Mercier does them, I just might have to get over my fear and make an attempt.

The hottest nail duo this holiday season will certainly be Nail Lacquers in Champagne Wishes (pearlized white) and Caviar Dreams (pearlized graphite).  J'Adore!  What impresses me most about the Caviar Dreams color is the dimension and effect on the nail. The color is so unusual; think abalone. It's grey/aubergine/green and you shouldn't need more than two coats.

Lips will, of course, be glamourous in the newest hues of Lip Glace, Gala (aubergine) and Soiree (think the gorgeous irridescence of snow); perfect to layer over lip color.  I love the conditioning formula of the Lip Glaces.
