Sephora Friends and Family is always a time that I order cosmetics that I've wanted to try, but just haven't gotten around to buying.  This year, so far on my list, is the new Diorshow Iconic Mascara.  There have been a ton of new mascaras released, but I have heard from Amber at Beauty Blogging Junkie that Iconic is holy grail-worthy.

MAC Makeup Artists celebrate Halloween!

MAC Makeup Artists present Halloween looks designed to not only scare, but impress your friends.  Dig through your makeup drawer and conjure up the following scary look for meeting the little goblins tonight.

After cleansing and priming the skin, lighten and whiten the entire face, neck and ears using Studio Fix in NC-15, Studio Finish Concealer in NC15, Polished Ivory Paint Stick and Select Sheer/Loose NW5.

Every face is different and every skull should be too!  Use your features and bone structure to determine your skull's shape and size.  Gently use Smolder Eye Kohl to map out the features of the skull.  Create dark, clean lines around the skull cavities (eye sockets, nasal passageways, etc.) using Blacktrack Fluidline.  Highlight the rim of the cavities using Fascinating Eye Kohl.  Keep these lines and colours clean to create the desired effect. 

Use Eye Shadows Juxt, Humid, Gorgeous Gold, Chrome Yellow, Carbon and Gesso to contour and highlight the different areas of the face.  Combining Fix + and Blacktrack Fluidline will allow you to black out the neck and ears quickly and easily. 

You don't have to use this colour palette; dig in your makeup drawer to find other eye shadow shades that would be equally spooky, such as changing out the yellow hues for violets.  That's the great thing about MAC makeup--it's so versatile.

Chanel has introduced the Holiday 2008 Collection:  

Eyes:  My favorite piece of the collection is LES 4 OMBRES Quadra Eye Shadow in limited-edition Beiges de CHANEL. The colors range from soft-to-deep shades of cream, taupe, gold, and brown. The shadows are pearlescent and shimmery.  I bought this Quad the instant I saw it and I absolutely adore it.  If you have blue eyes, definitely think about picking this up.  

The collection also includes MBRE D’EAU Fluid Iridescent Eye shadow in limited-edition Riviera, a pale gold; LE CRAYON YEUX Precision Eye Definer in limited-edition Noir Scintillant, a soft black with gold shimmer and LA LIGNE DE CHANEL Professional Eyeliner Duo in limited-edition Brun-Lamé, a combination of dark brown and soft brown sparkle.

Nails:  Of course, the must-have nail shades of the season will come from Chanel.  There are two limited-edition Le Vernis Nail Colours in the collection:  Perle Rosée, a warm beige-pink, and Haute Chocolat, a chocolate gold.  I bought the Haute Chocolat and absolutely love it.
